Welcome to Plebiscito's Hostel in Catania
The Hostel del Plebiscito is the coolest place for your organic Sicilian experience.
It is situated in the heart of the town, not far from the best points of interest. Along Via Vittorio Emanuele are Churches, ancient buildings, the Roman Theatre with its Museum, the houses of Vincenzo Bellini and Giovanni Verga, and the Dome. But also the Baroque Via dei Crociferi, the medieval Ursino Castle, the ancient University (founded in 1434) and the Theatre “V.Bellini” are not far.
The hostel includes 34 bedsits divided in cosy rooms (6/10 beds per room) styled furnished with handmade wood furniture, the comfort of central heating and air conditioning, every room big and full of natural light include personal storages.

From the 16th of December 2012 starts our culinary project, the idea: sustainable and ethical sicilian cuisine. In a period of economic and cultural crisis like the one we find ourselves in, our objective is to bring to our friends and peers a sustainable and accessable way of eating, with attention to the quality of the products (seasonal produce sourced at 0km) and traditional methods and technique.
ROCKET FROM THE KITCHEN offers to all the possibilty to taste and enjoy traditional sicilian dishes and creative retakes on the originals. Maintaining our characteristic style, we aim to satisfy every palate, committed to the idea that a better, more ethical and sustainable world is possible.

For the guests of the hostel, a fixed lunch or dinner menu for €10, €12 or €15 (drinks excluded).
Etna day Trip!
Catania is the 10th biggest city in Italy and is a great place to explore magical Sicily from. As well as being reknowned for its nightlife, music and cheap restaurants, it is within easy reach of the main tourist attractions of Sicily. The tour, provided by EtnaExperience, starts at 9am and will show you the Bove Valley by jeep or soft trek, inside the Lava Caves of the Volcano, ancient Craters and Lava flows, and the Alcantara Canyon formed by the lava thousands of years ago.
